Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center | Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA Visiting Researcher, Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine |
April 2026 - Present |
| I conduct eye-tracking research on analyzing cognitive and attentional patterns during medical simulation and clinical practices. I focus on ultrasound-guided procedures, such as central venous catheter placement and regional ultrasound techniques. I compare attention and cognitive behavior during different segments of the standard training. I analyze gaze patterns and cognitive workload using pupillometry of residents and experts in simulation setting and the clinical setting. | ||

Petanux GmbH, Bonn, Germany DAAD RISE Professional Research Intern |
May 2025 - August 2025 |
| I built a microservice that automatically extracts figures and tables along with their contextual information from PDF documents to power advanced document processing in Petanux's AI platforms (PetaGPT and PetaBot AI). I added features such as AI personality, expert model support, and inferring the language from the incoming prompt to the Petabot and PetaGPT. In order to get effective responses from the AI models for these features, I applied prompt engineering strategies—such as refining instructions, structuring inputs, and tailoring context. | ||
|
Joint Commission on Technology and Science (JCOTS), Virginia, USA Commonwealth of Virginia Engineering & Science Fellow |
May 2024 - August 2024 |
| I conducted background research on topics that JCOTS study in 2024 interim, including Artificial Intelligence, Online and Data Protection. | ||
|
Old Dominion University, USA Graduate Research Assistant, Department of Computer Science |
Jan 2022 - Present |
| I am currently researching on analyzing users’ eye movements within Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality. I researched on identifying objective measures using eye movements to effectively assess the engagement of fake news. I worked on a project that analyzes the reading patterns of researchers using eye tracking. I collaborated with Pennsylvania State University on researching and developing methods to automatically extract features from papers for predicting reproducibility of scientific papers. I also worked on encoding Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) using word embedding and building a heuristic classifier that will predict if a given page of ETD is a title page or not. I volunteered as a graduate student assistant for the ODU Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) in Disinformation Detection and Analytics Summer 2022 program. | ||
